“I hope you fall in love with living your life, with feeling alive, and everything in-between”
– V.J. Markham
Dear Clients,
First of all, I want to congratulate you on taking this step of reaching out for guidance and company on your healing journey. I want to acknowledge that many different aspects of life can feel quite hard and that you have already been navigating. For many of us, we are stretched too thin, pulled in many directions, with hard things piled on in layers. Sometimes it is hard to even know where to start unpacking the suitcases of our lives. As humans we have a deep need for connection: connection with self, connection with nature, and connection with each other. Our traumas - both big T and little t - can stand in the way of that need being met and therefore require healing.
We are whole dynamic individuals AND we are parts of bigger ecosystems, which is why I like to take a more holistic approach when it comes to healing. All at once we are physical, emotional, mental, sexual, and spiritual beings and I believe that the whole of us needs to be supported. The journey of exploring and becoming the most authentic version of yourself is a beautiful one. I believe that genuine healing lies in the recognition and acceptance of your authentic self. Healing can be hard work and sometimes it feels worse before it feels better; it can be intense, it can be funny, and it can be everything in between. Much of the journey may be serious, but it does not all have to be as laughter is great medicine too. I believe that the work that you are about to do is sacred and I am honored to hold space for you, alongside you.
With love,
Hilary Newnes, LMFT

Relationships are tricky, and yet they are such an intricate and important part of our human experience.
